The Park Theater in Las Vegas, renamed Dolby Live, to offer Dolby Atmos sound

The Park Theater at the Park MGM Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, home to Lady Gaga’s Las Vegas residence, has been renamed Dolby Live, marking a partnership between MGM Resorts and the audio technology company.

The sound inside the room has also been significantly improved, according to a press release issued today. “The space now has a fully integrated Dolby Atmos playback system, which has been designed, calibrated and tuned by Dolby engineers to match the size and unique characteristics of the 5,200-seat theater,” the statement said. . “Dolby and MGM Resorts have worked closely together over the past few months to completely transform Dolby Live into one of the world’s most technologically advanced performance facilities.”

The press release describes the hall as “the first fully integrated performance venue of its kind to offer live concerts in Dolby Atmos”.

“Working with Dolby to revolutionize our live entertainment offerings takes the experience to entirely new levels,” said Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts International, in the statement. “Dolby Live will be the most advanced venue on the Strip.”

In addition to Gaga’s upcoming nine Jazz & Piano dates (October 14-31), Dolby Live’s schedule includes Foo Fighters (December 2 and 4), Jason Aldean (December 9-11) and 311 (March 11-12).
