AL SOLITO POSTO James Trees and his company can’t go wrong, even taking over an Italian restaurant from a chain in a posh open-air mall and serving everyone’s favorite food. BRERA OSTERIA The ephemeral Sixth & Mill pizzeria at Grand Canal Shoppes is now the laid-back Brera Osteria pasta palate, and the menu is accessible, diverse and delicious. Order the saffron-infused Milanese risotto, a favorite of the late Jonathan Gold at the LA location. Venetian, 702-414-1227. CHINGLISH CANTON WINE BAR There’s a kosher version of this stellar Chinese restaurant next to Boca Park, a cozy patio to sample all that wine, and a menu filled with Hong Kong classics made with care and precision. EL LUCHADOR Andy Hooper’s burgeoning hospitality company has seen successes with The Black Sheep (with Chef Jamie Tran) and Locale (with Chef Nicole Brisson and then Chef Marc Marrone), and it’s clearly not done. El Luchador is the Mexican cantina every local neighborhood deserves, with happy hour and weekend brunch.
